CLICKER MASTERCLASS

We offer two Clicker Master Classes as below and the dates for the next course appear at the bottom. The fee is R1800 for the Clicker Mastercclas and R2200 for the Instructors Course.  We limit this course to 6 participants so do book early to avoid disappointment - held once a year only.

Clicker Masterclass 

For the everyday dog owner wanting to understand and use this wonderful modality to strengthen the bond between them and their dog. 

We will cover learning Theory , the mechanics of clicker and work on techniques using shaping, targeting, capturing, chaining and back chaining, and eliciting behaviours (free shaping).

Encourages your dog to think, wonderful mental stimulation and loads of fun. Roll over,high five, clean your paws, loose leash walking, basic obedience, and go to place are some of the tricks we will be covering.  

No tests or exams are required

Clicker Instructor Masterclass available in both Gauteng and the Cape

The Instructors Masterclass covers precisely the same as the Clicker Masterclass with the exception that there will be compulsory assignments which include 

  • Submission of a video demonstrating the capturing of a behaviour using the clicker. Submitted after practical sessions completed
  • 2 written assignments covering learning Theory
  • Submission of a training plan and documented evidence in the form of video clips, photographs and  training records of a chosen trick behaviour consisting of at least three elements. Submitted after Practical sessions
  • A written examination. 

The pass mark for Instuctor's is 70%.
